Before professional dance she worked as an actress in film and television for 5 years. After graduating from Main Dance Performance Intensive in 1994 she embarked on her extensive career in Modern Dance. She began training in Contact Improvisation in 1991 and she has been a company member of Vancouver's Contact Dance based Company, EDAM Dance since 1997. She has traveled across the globe with dance companies Battery opera, Trial And Eros, Kinesis Somatro, and MACHiNENOISY. She has performed locally with Lola Dance, Trial and Eros, Co Erasga, tom Stroud of Winnipeg Contemporary Dancers, Helen Walkley and countless others. In 2006 she officially joined forces with her long time friend and creative partner Daelik to form MACHiNENOiSY Dance Society. The works of MACHiNENOiSY have been presented in Canada as well as internationally, including being commissioned by Festival Danse en Vol in 2003 to create a full evening dance presented in Brussels and Delia's solo Twister, commissioned to be performed in Innsbruck Austria. Delia is also a teacher of contact improvisation and Hatha yoga and is a step mother and mother to two beautiful boys.
